mysore style ashtanga yoga in Maui, HI
7am-10am monday-friday
with sammy Seriani
Discover the transformative power of mysore ashtanga yoga- a self paced, breath-led practice that meets you exactly where you are. build strength and flexability, and cultivate a meditative mind. whether you’re a beginner or seasoned practitioner, mysore style practice offers personalized support in a calm, focused space.
it’s not a 3 hour class. lol. 7-10am are “revolving door” hours. students arrive anytime that works with their schedule and the amount of time they set aside for practice… generally 90 minutes.
led primary series
Sunday 8:30-10am with merritt
a guided practice in which the teacher leads students through the full sequence of postures in the Primary Series, known as Yoga Chikitsa or “Yoga Therapy.” The instructor calls out each pose and its corresponding vinyasa count in Sanskrit, maintaining a steady rhythm that synchronizes breath and movement. Students flow together as one, focusing on breath, gaze, and alignment rather than self-paced exploration. The class emphasizes discipline, endurance, and concentration, offering a dynamic, meditative experience that builds strength, flexibility, and inner stillness.
